Editing a text track

Text tracks contain textual descriptions for specific segments of a video file.

All text tracks are viewable in the Text Tracks tab of the Video Details. For each text track, the start timecode and end timecode are displayed, along with the text track data.

You can edit a text track using the following procedure.

To edit a video text track:

  1. Navigate to and select a video file.

  2. Select View > Video Details.

The Video Details screen opens for the video file.

  3. Select the Text Tracks tab.

  4. Select an available text track type from the Classification list box.

All text tracks of that classification are displayed.

  5. Select the text track and click Edit.

The Text Track Editor screen appears.

  6. Edit the Classification, Text, Start Timecode or End Timecode fields.

  7. If the edited text track belongs to a sub-clip, there is an option for transferring the text track to the parent video.

Select Assign on the parent video document if you want to assign the text track to the parent video.

  8. Click OK.

The Text Track Editor screen closes and the text track appears under the chosen category, with its new information.
