Required permissions and security

Digital Asset Manager requires an increased level of permission for users to access Editorial Publishing Administration. To ensure that users who must administer a publication have the correct access, they must have the following user fields set:

The following table summarizes the security permissions that are needed for each editorial publishing feature:

Create/Modify a Workflow TemplateThe user must have a client capability of System Administrator and a minimum of Write permission on the workflow template.
Create/Modify an Object TypeThe user must have a client capability of SuperUser and the privilege of Create Type.
Create/Modify a Workflow StateThe user must have a client capability of System Administrator.
Create/Delete Performer TypesThe user must have a client capability of System Administrator.
Assign Users or Groups to Performer TypesThe user Privileges field must contain one of the following:
  • Include the Create Group privilege.

  • Set to System Administrator.

  • Set to Superuser.

Create/Modify a Publication TemplateThe user must have a client capability of System Administrator and Write access to the publications cabinet.
Create/Modify a Section TemplateThe user must have a client capability of System Administrator and Write access to the publication.
