Performer Types are templates that identify which users or groups of users will perform each role within an editorial workflow.
The Performer Types view (Figure 21.10) is available on the System Configuration, Publication Configuration, and Section Configuration screens.
To assign performer types:
In a Configuration screen, select Performer Types from the drop-down menu.
Select a Performer Type.
Click Edit.
The Edit Performer Type screen appears.
Click Edit Performers to select the performers (user or groups of users) you want to belong to this performer type.
The Edit User or Group screen appears.
Navigate through the available users and groups, select any users or groups and click the arrow to move the users and/or groups to the right panel.
The selected users and group are added to the list of selected performers.
When you have selected all the users and groups to add to the performer type, click OK.
If you want all the users and groups in this performer type to have the ability to revert a workflow state, select Revert State Privilege.
Click OK to save your performer type assignments and close the Edit Performer Type screen.
To use default performer types:
In a Configuration screen, select Performer Types from the drop-down menu.
Select a Performer Type.
Click Use Default.
The selected performer type reverts to the default performers.
